In AIE, go to the **Integrations**. 2. Select Install. AIE redirects to Salesforce. 3. Log in with your Salesforce or the API User’s credentials. Upon authentication, you are redirected back to AIE. ### Follow the steps pictured below in Settings to complete your integration: [See more here on how to implement Salesforce integration.](/v1/docs/integrate-ce-with-salesforce) ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/0e2cd0a2-b3b3-495b-80df-96f8381febea/Images/Documentation/9982052536467-mceclip0-1024x518.png) ## Troubleshoot disconnections The connection to Salesforce may occasionally expire, and disconnect the integration. This prevents AIE auto-enrollments and the pushing of updates. When there is a disconnection, follow these steps. #### 1. Check the refresh token policy in Salesforce 1. In the Salesforce **Setup** page, search for and navigate to **Connected Apps OAuth Usage** 2. Find the Saleswhale / Conversational Email Connected app, and select **Manage App Policies**. If you do not see this option, but instead see an option to **Install** the app, click on that first, and then on **Manage App Policies** (The app is already connected, this installation simply allows more granular management of app policies). 3. Under **Refresh Token Policy**, if **Refresh token is valid until revoked** is not selected, select it. 4. Save the changes. #### 2. Check the number of OAuth connections Salesforce restricts users from being connected to more than 5 AIE Teams at a time. To check this: 1. Login as the API User. 2. Go to the user’s settings and search for **Advanced User Details.** 3. In the **OAuth Connected Apps** section, if you see the 6sense AIE Application appear 5 times, then you have reached the limit of Teams that can be connected. You will need to reconnect in the following step with a different Salesforce user. #### 3. Unable to reconnect after a Salesforce security or compliance update If you cannot reconnect Salesforce after a Salesforce security or compliance update, verify that the Salesforce integration user has the following permissions: - Customize Application - Manage Connected Apps - Approve Uninstalled Connected Apps These permissions are required to reconnect a Salesforce connected app that was uninstalled or disconnected during a Salesforce security or compliance update. After assigning the permissions, try reconnecting the Salesforce integration again. #### 4. Reconnect to Salesforce in AIE. Follow the steps above to reconnect to Salesforce. Application Programming Interface; a set of rules that allows different software applications to communicate with each other.
