You must have Webtag 2.0 set up and enabled to use this feature. Read the set up instructions here.
Q: Once I submit a retargeting campaign, how long before it starts serving impressions?
A: On submittal, your retargeting campaign is instantly translated to the backend of our Demand Side Platform. It will start serving inventory on publisher sites that don’t require ad creative audit. Once ad audit completes (within 24 hours), it’ll serve on additional inventory.
Q: How far back (in days) can I target website visitors through 6sense?
A: You can look-back the length of time your account has been enabled for retargeting OR 90 days (whichever is lesser).
Q: What retargeting criteria are available?
A: Currently, there are two criteria available for Retargeting:
All Website Visitors
Page Specific Website Visitors
Q: What costs are there to use 6sense Retargeting?
A: Retargeting campaigns are priced the same as 6sense display campaigns. There is no feature cost: the total unique accounts reached across your campaigns will be withdrawn from your display account targeting allowance.
As expected, there is still the media spend cost, which you will be invoiced for separately (same as current invoicing model for display).
Q: What’s the difference between Audience Reached and Audience Matched?
A: Audience reached is the total number of unique individuals that were reached as a result of your 6sense retargeting campaign. Audience matched is the total number of unique individuals matched whose IP can be found in our company graph and be matched to a corresponding account.
Q: Can I change the retargeting criteria after I start a campaign?
A: Yes! You can change the retargeting criteria of active campaigns. Once a campaign completes or is deactivated, you cannot change the filtering criteria.
Q: Before launching a retargeting campaign, do I need to make any changes to my privacy or cookie policy?
A: You, as a Customer should:
Maintain a privacy policy compliant with applicable privacy laws that informs visitors that you engage in retargeting activities and use third parties for this purpose.
List 6sense as a subprocessor or third party service provider for this purpose.
If applicable, include information on access to a user choice mechanism such as, the opt out page(s) of the Network Advertising Initiative, the Digital Advertising Alliance, or the European Digital Advertising Alliance.
Implement cookie consent programs to obtain necessary opt-out/opt-in under applicable laws prior to the collection of data through the 6sense javascript. Note that features of our javascript provide our customer’s webmasters the ability to stop the javascript from sending data to 6sense for a visitor if the visitor has either not opted-in or has opted out (depending upon how the customer has enabled the features) from the capture of data on the customer’s website.
