# Fiscal Year Setting

Many companies have fiscal years that do not match the calendar year. This feature allows you to set your company’s fiscal year start and end, so you can get the best results for your metrics.

## Permissions

Only certain roles have access to change or view the fiscal year setting:

| **User Type** | **Access** |
| --- | --- |
| Primary Admin | View and Edit |
| Admin | View and Edit |
| Operations | View |
| Marketing | View |
| View Only | View |
| Insights | No Access |
| Sales | No Access |

## Set Fiscal Year

Navigate to **Settings > Data Settings** and select **Fiscal Year**.

Select the starting month of the fiscal year from the dropdown.

Fiscal year naming conventions include either the year the fiscal year will start or end. Select either **Fiscal year start** or **Fiscal year end** to change the naming convention. In the image above, “Fiscal year end” is selected, and the fiscal year ends in February 2025, so the name of the fiscal year is “FY 2025”.

Click **Save** in the top right to enable this setting throughout the product.
