# Segment Sync to Advertising Troubleshooting Messages

Advertising provides notifications at **ABM > Advertising > Segment Syncs** if segments fail to sync. Refer to [Manage Segment Syncs in Advertising](/v1/docs/manage-segment-syncs-in-advertising).

LinkedIn, Meta, and Google are referred to as “channels” in the following table.

Segments may fail to sync for one of the following reasons:

| **Type of Failure** | **Channel** | **Reason** | **Category** | **How to fix** |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Segment | LinkedIn | Insufficient user permission | LinkedIn role permission missing | Billing, Standard, or Admin role is required to continue syncing. |
| Segment | LinkedIn | Insufficient user permission | 6sense role permission missing | Marketing or Admin role is required to continue syncing. |
| Segment | LinkedIn | Insufficient user permission | LinkedIn Ads account access missing | Access to the LinkedIn ad account is missing. Please get access to continue syncing. |
| Segment | Google Ads | Insufficient user permission | Google Ads permission missing | Access to the Google ad account is missing. Please get permission for syncing segments. |
| Segment | Google Ads | Insufficient user permission | 6sense role permission missing | Marketing or Admin role is required to continue syncing. |
| Segment | Google Ads | Insufficient user permission | Google Ads account access missing | Access to the Google ad account is missing. Please get access to continue syncing. |
| Segment | Meta | Insufficient user permission | Missing “Write” permissions to create audience | User needs “Write” permissions in Meta to continue syncing to this ad account. |
| Segment | Meta | Insufficient user permission | Missing “Create Ad” permissions | User needs “Create Ads” permissions in Meta to continue syncing to this ad account. |
| Segment | Meta | Insufficient user permission | 6sense role permission missing | Marketing or Admin role is required to continue syncing. |
| Segment | Meta | Insufficient user permission | Meta account access missing | Access to the Meta ad account is missing. Please get access to continue syncing. |

| Segment | Meta/Google/ LinkedIn | User request limit reached | Ad account limit reached | Excess calls to this ad account detected by channel. Reach out to your channel support to get your rate limit increased, or use a different ad account. |
| Integration | LinkedIn | Access restricted | Access restricted | Member access restricted by LinkedIn due to Policy Violation. Reach out to LinkedIn support to fix your access. |
| Integration | Meta | Access restricted | Access restricted | User access restricted by Meta. Reach out to Meta support to fix your access. |
| Integration | Google Ads | Access restricted | Access restricted | User access restricted by Google Ads. Reach out to Google Ads support to fix your access. |
| Integration | Meta/Google/ LinkedIn | No associated ad accounts found | No associated ad accounts found | User needs access to at least one ad account to initiate segment syncing. |
