The RevvyAI Research Accounts node is in Beta. The product and this information may change. For questions contact your CSM.
Intelligent Workflows include nodes, called RevvyAI Research nodes, that use RevvyAI to create and use custom fields that assist with researching accounts and people.
For more information refer to RevvyAI Research Nodes Overview and Best Practices for RevvyAI Research Nodes.
Set up a Research Accounts node
To use a RevvyAI Research Accounts node:
Access the RevvyAI research nodes from the Nodes > RevvyAI menu.

Drag a research node over the start node.

Select the research node and its pencil icon. Its properties panel opens.

Name the node something that describes what you are trying to research. By default the node name is the name of the type of research node.
(Optional) Enter a description, for future reference.
Select one or more RevvyAI fields.
You can select a maximum of 10 RevvyAI fields.
If there is not a RevvyAI field that you want to use, select Create RevvyAI field. Refer to the Create a RevvyAI field section.
(Optional) Consider the re-research option under Advanced options.

6sense will not take this action again for the same account more than once within the set number of days, with a default of 30 days. Setting this to “0” means there will be no wait time before this action is taken again.
This means that your workflow can run more frequently than the node refreshes its research. For example, if a workflow runs daily, and the node refresh is every 30 days, then the same record’s research will not be refreshed for 30 days. The workflow may encounter the record every day, but the RevvyAI Research node would not perform new research every day.Select Save.
Save the draft of the workflow.
Use Preview to test out the workflow before you publish it. AI-generated research varies depending on the company, person, availability of public information, and wording of the research question.
Previewing helps you validate the field before using it at scale.
If the result isn't what you expect, refine your field definition before running the workflow.
Create a RevvyAI field
When you select Create RevvyAI field, a panel opens where you define the criteria for the custom field.

(Optional) Select Browse RevvyAI field templates and choose a template. Refer to RevvyAI field templates below.
Enter a descriptive name for the field.
Select whether the new custom field applies to accounts or people records.
In the What will this data apply to? box, enter a question that includes a 6sense field. Use a backslash (/) to get a list of 6sense fields.
If you previously selected Accounts, 6sense lists the 6sense Accounts fields.
If you previously selected People, 6sense lists the 6sense People fields.

For tips on writing prompts, refer to Best Practices for RevvyAI Research Nodes.
Select a field from the list. Use search if needed.
The What data are you looking for? property adds the field. You can add more than one field.

The Prompt strength property is a suggestion for narrowing down the AI results. We suggest adding more than one data field to improve the strength.
Select the data format. By default, the system automatically suggests a format based on your prompt. You can update the suggested format and choose from the supported options: Text, Number, List, and Boolean (True/False).

Ensure that the data format of the prompt results match the data type of any downstream CRM or MAP field that the workflow may update. Otherwise the CRM or MAP may return an error.
Select Next.
6sense performs some processing and then asks for more information.
6sense asks from where you are selecting records to preview, that is, what object type you want to start from. The default is a segment. You can change it by selecting either:
Account
Person
Segment
If a segment, which select segment you want to use.

An account list lets you select up to 10 accounts to preview. By default 6sense lists the first 10 accounts (or people). You can change this list using Search.

Select the accounts in the list that you want to preview.
Select Next. 6sense generates a preview of the results for the selected accounts or people.

Review the results.
Account Name: the company name.
RevvyAI answer from from the node field’s prompt.
Sources: website URL where RevvyAI got the information.
(Optional) If you want to change the listings used for the preview, select Add accounts.
(Optional) If you need to update the properties, select Back.
If you are satisfied with the preview, select Save RevvyAI Field.
The new field appears in the RevvyAI fields list of the research node properties. Refer to Set up a Research Accounts node above.
RevvyAI field templates
6sense provides use case templates to help you build workflows that use RevvyAI Research nodes. To use a template:
Select Browse RevvyAI field templates.
Select either the Account (default) or People category.
Select a template. Templates include:
CRM detection
Website quality score
Select Use template.
Troubleshoot RevvyAI Research nodes
My result isn't what I expected. What should I do?
First, review the research question. Check whether:
The question is specific enough
The timeframe is clear
The expected output is clearly defined
You are asking for information that can reasonably be found publicly
You selected the correct output type
Then refine the RevvyAI field and preview the result again.
Why did I get a blank result?
A blank result can occur when RevvyAI cannot find sufficient publicly available information to reliably answer the research question.
Consider refining the question or broadening the research criteria if appropriate.
Why are different records producing different results?
Research results are record-specific. Different companies and people have different amounts and quality of publicly available information.
A prompt that works well for one company may not produce the same level of detail for another.
FAQ: RevvyAI Research nodes
What happens if there isn't enough public information for a RevvyAI Research node?
RevvyAI may not be able to produce a meaningful result for every record. A lack of information does not necessarily mean that the underlying statement is false. For example, if you ask "Has this company announced plans to enter Germany?" and no reliable public evidence is found, the result should not be interpreted as proof that the company has no such plans.
For important business decisions, review the research output and supporting information before taking consequential action.
What happens if a RevvyAI Research node doesn't return a result?
A research attempt may not return a value when the AI cannot find sufficient information.
The RevvyAI Research node's refresh interval is still honored. The record isn't continuously re-researched simply because the previous research returned no value.
If the same account appears in multiple workflows, will it be researched again?
Yes. Research is associated with the record and RevvyAI field and are treated as completely independent every time the record appears in a workflow.
Will Revvy AI always return the correct answer?
No. AI research systems cannot guarantee that every result will be correct. Results can depend on:
Availability of public information
Quality and recency of sources
How specific the research question is
The complexity of the question
For important business decisions, we recommend reviewing the result and applying appropriate validation before taking action.
Should I use information already available in 6sense as a RevvyAI Research node prompt?
Not necessarily. If the information already exists as a supported 6sense field, generally you should use the existing 6sense data rather than consuming RevvyAI Research node credits to recreate it.
The RevvyAI Research node is most valuable for net-new intelligence that requires external research.
