You can sync a 6sense segment to a LinkedIn audience and use the segment in a LinkedIn campaign.
The 6sense integration with LinkedIn operates on a per-user basis, not an account-level basis. Each 6sense user must set up their own LinkedIn integration.
Also refer to FAQ: 6sense Segments for LinkedIn Ads.
Prerequisites
You must be a campaigns manager or account manager, or owner of at least one LinkedIn Ad Account.
6sense segments with greater than 1 million accounts cannot be synced to LinkedIn.
Use a 6sense segment in a LinkedIn campaign
There are three major steps described in the following sections:
Connect your LinkedIn Account to your 6sense account using OAuth.
Sync your 6sense segment to a LinkedIn audience.
Use your 6sense segment in a LinkedIn campaign.
Step 1: Connect your LinkedIn Account to your 6sense account
Go to 6sense Settings > Integrations.
Select the All Integrations tab.
Select 6sense Segments for LinkedIn.
Select Sign Into LinkedIn.
Sign in with your LinkedIn credentials.
You must be a campaigns manager or account manager, or owner of at least one LinkedIn Ad Account to successfully sign-in.
Step 2: Sync a 6sense segment to a LinkedIn ad account’s audience
After authorization in LinkedIn, go to the Revenue Marketing > Advertising > Segment Syncs tab.
Select Create Sync. The Create Sync panel opens.
Enter the sync properties:
Select your segment.
Select channel – LinkedIn.
Select the Ad Account you want to make the segment available on as an audience.
Select Link Ad Account.
The selected ad account displays its Status as “syncing” while LinkedIn begins to translate the segment into an audience.
Tip: It can take 24-48 hours to go from building state to ready state. You can go to the next steps to select an audience that is still in building state. Once an audience moves from building to ready, it automatically starts serving impressions.
(Optional) Repeat the steps above to link additional ad accounts if needed.
Disable a sync
If you need to disable a segment to LinkedIn sync, go to the LinkedIn Ad Account screen (Step 4 above) and toggle the linked account Sync to Off.
Step 3: Use a 6sense segment in a LinkedIn campaign
Go to LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
You can find the 6sense segments at Account Assets > Matched Audiences. The page lists all the 6sense segments that have been synced. Two columns of particular interest are:
Status: Status of the sync.
Statuses of ready and updating means you can use them in a campaign.
Status of building means it won’t start serving an impression until building completes.
Audience count: Members available for a matched audience. For LinkedIn’s SLAs, at least 300 members must be associated with a matched audience for it to be used in targeting. When in an update or building status, less than 300 members may be shown, so refer to the number when the status is ready.
Select Create Campaign.
Choose your objective. Audiences can be used with all objectives.
For the target audience, select Matched audiences > Third party.
Select the audience from the list.
You can select an audience that is still in building state. Once an audience moves from building to ready, it automatically starts serving impressions.
Finish configuring the LinkedIn campaign.
