ABM and SI Alerts

Prev Next

There are currently two ways for your sales reps to set up alerts:

  • ABM alerts: set up by a Sales or Primary Administrator, and

  • Sales Intelligence (SI) alerts: set up by a Sales user.

ABM Alert Configurations

You must be a Sales or Primary Administrator to set up ABM alerts.

The ABM alert configurations include:

To Access ABM Alerts

From the ABM main menu select Alerts.

Activate or Deactivate Alerts

From the list of existing Alerts, click the toggle on the right of each alert to activate or deactivate it.

Create an Alert

To create an alert:

  1. From the ABM main menu, select Alerts.

  2. At the top right of the Alerts panel, Click New.

  3. In the header menu, select daily or weekly to set the frequency of the alerts.

  4. In the header menu, select email or slack to set the destination.

  5. Select a Product.

  6. Configure the alert using the instructions in the next section.

Configure an Alert

To configure an ABM alert:

  1. Select a segment.

  2. Select Alert categories.

From the Alert Categories page you can arrange the categories in the order that you prefer, and turn off any categories that you don’t want included in the alert by clicking the toggle on the right.

You can configure additional details on each of these categories to fine-tune which accounts and activities are included in the alert.

Custom Alert Categories

  • New Hot Accounts: There are no configuration options for this category on the Alert page, but you can click on the provided link to configure your 6QA definition and adjust what defines a “Hot Account”.

  • Recent Web Visits: You can select whether to include either All or Specific URLs for this category. If you select Specific, you need to filter for the URLs you want to include or exclude from the alert.

  • Recent Anonymous Intent: You can select whether to include either All or Specific intent activities for this category. If you select Specific, you need to filter for the activities you want to include or exclude from the alert.

  • Recent Anonymous Intent: You can select whether to include either All or Specific intent activities for this category. If you select Specific, you need to filter for the activities you want to include or exclude from the alert.

  • Recent Contact Engagement: You can select whether to include either Default or Specific engagement activities for this category. Your default engagement activities are listed below. If you select Specific, you can click Manage Activities to select or remove the engagement activities you want to include in the alert.

Additional ABM Alert Settings

Choose which links to include in the alert for each account. By default both are shown.

Recipients

Choose whether you want to send all CRM users with specific roles the alert, or send an alert only to specific individual emails. You can constrain recipients with the Owner ID main role further by limiting an alert to specific account Owner IDs.

You can also configure whether or not the alert is sent if there are no new accounts that meet the alert conditions.

Example of creating an ABM alert for a single user

For example, let’s say “Mike” is an account executive (AE) at 6sense. He wants to receive email alerts for top accounts in his territories. He also wants “Peg”, the business development representative (BDR) that he works with, to receive the alert. Mike wants to get an email alert from 6sense every day. He still wants an email even if 6sense finds no recommended top accounts, because checking the 6sense alert email is part of his daily routine. When 6sense finds no recommended top accounts, it sends Mike an email indicating that.

Here’s how Mike would set up the alert:

Example of creating an ABM bulk alert for an entire team

For example, let’s say “Bill” is a sales ops at 6sense. Bill wants the sales team working on the US market to kick off the week with 6sense recommended top accounts by getting an email alert every Monday. Ideally, each account executive (AE) and the business development representative (BDR) that Bill works with will receive an email alert of top accounts that the AE owns. This is a big sales team that has 40 account executives, so Bill wants to set up the one email alert for all the people on the team. Let’s say “Mark” is the sales manager of this team. He would love to receive email alerts for the top accounts that haven’t been assigned to an AE yet in the US market so that he can assign them accordingly. At 6sense, each AE is the account owner of their account on their CRM. 6sense also has a custom field called BDR on the CRM Account object that is used to assign BDR status to an account. In addition, 6sense has integrated the CRM Account and CRM User object on the 6sense platform.

Here’s how Bill would set up the email alert:

Sales Intelligence Alerts

Sales users can set up SI alerts.

Accounts Features

The accounts features in SI alerts are available based on account criteria configured by your SI administrator, including:

  • New top accounts

  • Accounts that have shown intent activity implied by recent web visits

  • Accounts that have shown intent activities

  • Accounts with recent contact activities

  • Accounts assigned to you through your company’s integrated CRM based on role

You supplement those preconfigured criteria by following accounts, filters, or lists in SI.

Account features vary based on your SI Subscription.

Follow an Account

To follow an account, click the star icon in the actions column for a company.

Follow a Saved Filter

To follow a saved filter, click the follow option in the ellipisis (…) dropdown next to a filter.

Follow a Saved List

To follow a saved list, click the star icon in the actions column for a list.

Unfollow

You can unfollow anything you have followed by clicking the filled star icon that indicates it is being followed, or by visiting the Companies Followed tab in your SI User Preferences (the circle with your initials at the bottom of the left menu) and unfollow there.

Configure Your Individual SI Alerts

To view and configure your own SI alerts:

  1. In SI, click your initials in the top right of the platform.

  2. From the dropdown, select Alert Preferences.

  3. Configure the Account Data Points you want to receive in an alert. Account data points vary based on your SI Subscription.
By default, all the data points are selected. Uncheck any that you do not want to have included in your alerts.

    • Latest Top Accounts

    • News

    • Job Posting

    • Technographics

    • Recent Web Visits

    • Recent Intent Activities

    • Recent Contact Engagement

  4. Toggle where you want receive alerts: email, Slack, or both. If you toggle off both types, you will not receive alerts.

Multiple Product Alerts

If your company has set up 6sense for multiple products, you can set up SI alerts for each of the products. If you don’t see multiple products listed, it means that your company purchased 6sense for only one product or configured 6sense to provide insights on all its products as a whole.

  • All Products will still send separate alerts per model but it will send them for all models the company has.

  • Individual Product will just send alerts for whichever individual models are selected by the user.
