This article outlines how admins can manage the visibility of Do Not Call (DNC) registered phone numbers based on the number’s location, and what the end users will see in the SI application. A phone number marked Do Not Call (DNC) has been put on a registry that reduces unwanted telemarketing calls.
Configure DNC
Must be a Sales Intelligence admin to configure DNC.
DNC visibility is controlled per country and is based on the number’s location, not the contact’s profile location.
Navigate to Settings > Data Settings > Do Not Call (DNC).
Admins can choose to hide or show DNC-flagged numbers for each of the eight supported countries:
Australia
Canada
France
Germany
Ireland
New Zealand
United Kingdom
United States
By default all DNC numbers are un-checked and visible, but marked with a badge in SI. Admins can toggle visibility for DNC numbers per country:
Unchecked = visible (default).
Checked = hidden.

We recommend creating two custom fields and adding these in the mapping profile (one for mobile and one for work phone) to capture the DNC status during exports. DNC status could be Yes, No, or Blank/Null.
User experience in SI
If the number is on a DNC registry but the country is enabled (default), the number will be visible, along with a DNC badge.
If a number is on a supported country’s DNC registry and that country is disabled by the admin, the number will be hidden from view and exports and marked with a DNC badge.
This logic applies across:
SI web app and iframes:
Contact detail pages.
Contact search results in Discovery.
Export and unlock history.
Chrome extension:
Contact detail pages.
List views.
DNC in exports
CSV Exports: When a user exports any contacts to a CSV, a new column for each phone number will display if each number is DNC.
CRM/SEP Exports: A new field will be available to map for each integration and each phone number that is possible to mark as DNC, allowing users to export when a phone number is DNC or not. When a user exports any contacts to their CRM/SEP, the mapped DNC field will export the value Yes or No.
All Exports: Phone numbers will be exported with the following format:
Hidden DNC numbers: Exported as blank; DNC column = Yes
Visible DNC numbers: Exported as normal; DNC column = Yes
Non-DNC numbers: Exported as normal; DNC column = No
This behavior is the same regardless of which page in SI you export from.

What are the different DNC statuses?
Status name | Definition |
|---|---|
True | The DNC badge will always be displayed. Number visibility depends on the admin setting. |
False | There will be no DNC badge. |
Off | We do not check DNC numbers for this country. Includes countries outside of the eight mentioned above. This status will NOT be surfaced to the end user and it should be noted that we do not have any DNC yes/no status for any countries not included. If there is a country missing that you would like added, create a feature request. |
Disabled | Similar to the above, however, these countries will never be added (such as China). |
Pending | Only applicable in cases with real-time phone generation. |
