Buying Stage Movement Report

The Buying Stage Movement report shows, with a stacked bar chart, how accounts are moving through the 6sense Predictive buying stages (target, awareness, consideration, decision, and purchase) over time. You can see a high-level view of all accounts and more details for each account, including a robust CSV download.

The Buying Stage Movement report shows you how the the buying stage totals change as the accounts move from one to another buying stage over time.

Prerequisites

  • Your CRM must be integrated with 6sense.

  • Your 6sense account must have the Predictive add-on.

  • All users in 6sense can view and save the report. View-only users cannot download the report.

Metrics provided in the report

  • Percentage distribution of accounts in the target, awareness, consideration, decision, and purchase buying stages over the selected date range.

  • Number of accounts per day in each buying stage over the selected date range.

  • Total or average number of accounts in each buying stage over the selected date range.

Access the Buying Stage Movement report

You can access the Buying Stage Movement report from either the Home page or the Reports list.

  1. Go to ABM > Reports.

  2. Use the search field or sort menu to quickly locate the report listing.

  3. Select Buying Stage Movement.

From the Home page Buying stage distribution panel, select View report.

At the top of the report you can adjust various dimensions that affect every chart in the report.

  • Time dimension: Use the menu to group the time by day, week, month, or quarter.

  • Segment scope: Either all accounts in your system or an individual segment. You can only select published segments. If you don’t see a segment you expect, make sure it is published. Refer to Publish Segments.

  • Product/Predictive model: If you have more than one Predictive model, you can select which one to use.

The report header shows the total number of accounts and the date range of the report.

The headers include controls to:

  • Filter the results by:

    • Profile fit - account profile fit (Requires the Predictive add-on.)

      • Strong

      • Moderate

      • Weak

    • Accounts in CRM

      • Include CRM

      • Exclude CRM

  • Change the date range, for up to two years. (Two years is our data retention policy.) The default is Last 30 days.

  • Save the report.

  • Copy a link to the report.

The Buying Stage Distribution charts shows the percentage of accounts in each buying stage, per day.

Hover over the bar to see the percentage numbers.

Tip: Using the By Day dimension and Last 180 days timeframe, the stacked bar chart can show the account totals moving through the buying stages over time.

Activity Details list

The Activity Details list shows the number of accounts per day in each buying stage over the selected date range, with the Total or average number of accounts for each at the top row.

Use the sort option on the columns to sort the data by buying stage.

Use the pagination controls at the bottom of the table to go through all the results.

Select Download to immediately download the buying stage distribution report in CSV format, listing buying stage counts by each day and a total summary.

Activity Details Account list

On the Activity Details list, select one of the numbers links to get a list of those accounts. For example, a list of total accounts in the purchase stage.

Use the search field to locate a particular account.

The buying stage distribution report in CSV format includes the following columns:

  • Name: 6sense’s normalized company name.

  • Country: The country associated with the account.

  • Domain: 6sense’s normalized company website domain.

  • MID (6sense ID): 6sense’s ID corresponding to a unique company. If you have multiple Salesforce Accounts with the same 6sense ID, that means 6sense has identified those Accounts to represent the same company + country pair.

  • CRM ID: The Salesforce Account ID corresponding to the opportunity’s Account.

  • State:  State where the account is located.

  • City: City where the account is located. 

  • Employee Range: Range for the number of employees at the company.

  • Revenue Range: Range for the company’s revenue.

  • Industry: The industry category for the company.

  • Buying Stage: The 6sense Predictive buying stage (target, awareness, consideration, decision, or purchase) of the company. Refer to Predictive Buying Stages.

  • 6QA Status: Whether an account has met the defined requirements for 6QA status, either Qualified or Not Qualified. To understand the 6QA definition refer to 6sense Qualified Accounts (6QA).

  • Profile Fit: How well a company matches up against the ideal customer profile (ICP) for your product or service.

  • Reach Score: A measure comparing current account marketing and sales outreach activity of your company with previous similar efforts that ended in a sale.

  • Website Activity: Total number of web activities (clicks, form submits, video plays, and so on) on the company’s website.

  • B2B Network Activity: Research and engagement with configured keywords.

  • 6sense Media Activity: Ad impressions and engagements from 6sense Advertising campaigns.

  • External Media Activity: Account engagement from campaigns running outside the 6sense platform, tracked through external media exposure such as impressions and clicks.

  • Marketing Activity: 6sense Advertising, AI Email, and (when applicable) MAP and CRM campaigns.

  • Sales Activity: Activities including phone calls, emails, voicemails, meetings, and other forms of contact with accounts.
