Credits FAQ

Changelog:

1st Published Jan 13 2024: This document describes the 6sense Credits interface as of January, 2025. Some credits functionality from Sales Intelligence moved to a centralized Administrative interface.

This FAQ covers how 6sense handles credits and the credit pool for Account Based Marketing (ABM), Audience Workflows (AWF), Sales Intelligence (SI), and Data Workflows (DWE).

Important: Some applications do not use this credit pool and have separate credit schemes. See Orchestration Credits and API Credits.

For more information about 6sense credits, see:

How many credits did I get with my plan?

The credits are determined by the terms of your contract.

How do I purchase more credits?

Contact your 6sense Account Executive and/or Customer Success Manager.

Is it possible to get a credit refund?

Contact Customer Support if you see any discrepancies.

How best should I distribute credits between applications?

Consult with your Customer Success Manager, as each company has different needs. Generally, if your primary objective is to purchase net new records and enrich at scale, allocate most of your credits to Data Workflows Enrichment. If your primary objective is to empower your sales reps to purchase contacts, allocate most of your credits to Sales Intelligence.

Can I preview data in a Data Workflow before using a credit?

You can generate a preview for a node to view the records that will be processed by a node.

How do I know how many credits a Data Workflow will consume?

The exact number of credits used by a Data Workflow cannot be determined in advance. Preview a workflow to estimate how many records will be processed.

What happens if I try to unlock (view) contact information or export information, and I don’t have enough credits to complete that action?

You need enough credits to complete the action. If you don’t have enough credits:

  • You cannot unlock (view) the contact information.

  • An individual export will fail.

  • A bulk unlock or export will fail, and credits will not be charged for the entire attempt.

What happens if there aren’t enough credits to run a Data Workflow? Is there a notification? Will a portion of the workflow run until all credits are used, or will the workflow not run at all if there are not enough credits?

If sufficient credits are not available, an execution error displays in the Data Workflow List view.

How do I track Data Workflow credits used by a specific user?

There is no tracking for individual users because credits are not assigned to individual workflow users, they are assigned to the application. Only Sales Intelligence credits are allocated to users.

If a record is exported from the Sales Intelligence application, does the Data Workflows application charge a credit for updating this record?

No, a credit will not be deducted by Data Workflows for the 12-month maintenance period after a credit is deducted for a record.
