Pause and Resume AI Email Conversations

After a conversation has started in AI Email (AIE), you can pause the conversation and then resume it again, if needed. Pausing a conversation will prevent your AI email agent from sending emails and handling replies from your leads.

Pause conversations

You can pause a single conversation directly from the Conversation detail page or multiple conversations from the Conversations page or Campaigns/Conversations subpage using a bulk pause action.

You can only pause conversations that still haven’t ended. Those conversations will be in the “Pending lead response” or Pending AI response” state.

Pause a single conversation

  1. Go to the Conversations detail page.

  2. In the right top corner, select Action > Pause conversation.

After you pause the conversation, a success message appears on the screen, and the “Paused” status will appear next to the original status.

Pause multiple conversations at once

You can do this from two different places: the Conversations page or the Campaigns/Conversations subpage. Go to any of those two pages.

  1. Filter and select the conversations you want to pause.

  2. Then select Actions > Pause.

If any of the selected conversations can’t be paused, then the system will only perform the action on the conversations that can be paused.

Resume paused conversations

You can resume a single conversation directly from that conversation’s details page or multiple conversations from the Conversations page or Campaigns/Conversations subpage using the bulk Resume action.

You can only resume paused conversations.
