Restricted AI Email Agent Account Alerts

Prev Next

AI Email (AIE) alerts you if your AI email agent’s email inbox account is restricted by your email provider. AIE sends you an alert if your email provider responds to the inbox’s outbound emails with a message similar to this:

“Your message couldn’t be delivered because you weren’t recognized as a valid sender. The most common reason for this is that your email address is suspected of sending spam and it’s no longer allowed to send email. Contact your email admin for assistance. Remote Server returned ‘550 5.1.8 Access denied, bad outbound sender.'”

What happens when an AI email agent account is marked as restricted

CE monitors your AI inbox for any restrictions imposed by your email provider. If an inbox is flagged as restricted, you’ll receive:

  • An email alert

  • An in-app notification

Why email providers impose restrictions

Your AI email inbox account may be restricted due to:

  • Sudden spike in email volume: Sending too many emails in a short time.

  • Spam words: Using words that trigger spam filters.

  • Missing email authentications: Lack of necessary email authentication like DKIM, SPF, or DMARC.

Remove email provider AI email inbox account restrictions

To remove AI email inbox account restrictions:

  1. Contact your email admin: Work with your email provider Administrator to remove the restriction. Refer to the Email Provider Documentation for detailed steps.

  2. Update status: Once your email provider Administrator confirms that the inbox is no longer restricted, update the inbox status from Restricted to Connected.

Auto-resume email campaigns

When updating the inbox status to ‘connected,’ you can choose to auto-resume all affected campaigns. Alternatively, you can un-pause them later manually.

Track restricted email campaigns

You can track affected email campaigns by:

  1. Going to the All campaigns page.

  2. Filtering campaigns by inbox and pause reason.
