You can add 6sense Data Packs (also called standardized file exports) to your 6sense subscription. Contact your Customer Success Manager for more information. All customers can use Data Packs including non-CRM customers.

With this option, 6sense provides a variety of bulk file extracts from the system that can be used within your Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence tools or other systems for a variety of reporting and modeling use cases.
Files are provided against your CRM IDs or 6sense MIDs, depending on the file and if you are a current 6sense Platform customer.

Q: What is 6sense MID?
A: 6sense Master ID (MID) is the master account identity and core part of the 6sense master company database. You can read more about data mastering in 6sense Company Accounts.
Q: I don’t have a Platform Subscription. Can I still get Data Packs?
A: Yes, we have several Data Only offerings that do not require a Platform subscription: Firmographics, Technographics, and Keyword Intent.
Q: Do I have to purchase all the Data Packs?
A: No, Data Packs are purchased a la carte. Buy only what you need.
Q: Can non-CRM integrated Platform customers utilize this feature?
A: Yes! Non-CRM integrated customers will only be eligible for the MID files, not CRM files.
Q: Can I see a sample of the files that I will get?
A: Yes, a sample of each file is compressed in a .zip folder and attached to this article. The file is also available in the Data Dictionary.
Q: Are the daily delivered files transactional?
A: Yes, most of the daily files are transactional, with the exception of the files in the Predictive Data Pack.
Q: Do you include data from Integrations Partnerships?
A: No, Bombora, TrustRadius, and G2 data are not included in Data Packs.
Q: How big are the files?
A: This is dependent on both the file and on how much activity and data your organization generates. The file sizes can range from several MB to a few GB. First time predictive files will be especially large but will taper off after the first day as we only transmit the delta compared to the previous day.
Q: What are my options for data delivery?
A: We support delivery to our SFTP server, which we will provide access to. Alternatively we also support direct delivery to S3 or Snowflake if your organization is using one of those tools.
Q: If I opt for SFTP server delivery where will the files be available?
A: The files will be available in the /incoming/outgoing folder on the SFTP server.
Q: How often are the files delivered?
A: It depends on the Data Pack. The Web Visits, Predictive, Segmentation Participation, Ads Media, and External Media are delivered on a daily basis. Firmographics and Technographics are delivered monthly or quarterly based on customer preference. Keyword Intent can be delivered weekly, monthly, or quarterly.
Q: What is the time range of data available for the Daily files?
A: In the context of the files, each day starts at midnight 00:00 UTC and ends 24 hours later midnight 00:00 UTC. When the day ends, 6sense begins to process all the data including both new and changed records. Predictive files only contain the difference (the delta) compared to the previous day.
Q: What time will the files be sent to my specified delivery destination?
A: We start aggregating the files immediately when the day ends 00:00 UTC. This process is very resource intensive and can take a long time as we are processing upwards of billions of rows of data. Additionally, since the amount of data varies from day to day as well as from customer to customer, it is impossible to give you a fixed time for when the files will be ready. Normally, the files are available daily.
Q: Are files delivered on the weekends?
A: Yes! File delivery occurs every day through an automated process.
Q: What happens if I don’t receive my files?
A: The files will be deposited the next day, with the most recent data.
Occasionally, the 6sense data pipeline is delayed. This can happen for a variety of reasons, such as your CRM/MAP API limits being reached and thus data is not syncing into 6sense, or third-party vendors/partners have not given 6sense the required data (i.e. LinkedIn campaign data is delayed). If 6sense cannot generate the files, the export process skips a day, and the next day’s files contain the latest data. For predictive files only, if a day is missed the next day’s files contains the difference (the delta) in data.
Q: What is the file name format of each of the files?
A: In general they start with year, month, day, followed by your organization’s name, then the type of file. See sample below. These file names are standardized and cannot be changed.

Q: Is there a file size limit?
A: Currently, there is no file size limit. Files can be quite large especially transactional files for large organizations with a lot of activity.
Q: Can you split the files up based on size?
A: All the file types will be exported in its own file–we do not split up the files into parts.
Q: Why are some of my files blank?
A: This is likely to happen to your 6sense media or external media – including LinkedIn – if you do not issue any ads during that day. We will still generate a blank file and deposit it on your SFTP folder.
Q: Why the three-day delay on LinkedIn?
A: Due to LinkedIn’s demographic reporting limitations, we do not receive LinkedIn campaign data until three days after the campaign.
Q: For CRM ID files, can Accounts not in your CRM be included?
A: No. MID files can include all Accounts, but CRM ID files only include accounts in CRM.
