Is your report or dashboard missing data? Let’s find out why!

If you are able to initiate the sync for a report and Salesforce (SF) returns 0 data in the report here are some ways to troubleshoot.

Below are 4 reasons a report or dashboard could be missing data:

  1. It does not meet the scope or filter criteria of the report.

  2. The user does not have at least Read access

  3. It does not exist

  4. It’s an activity record that has been “Archived” for over 1 year

1st: Confirm the report is Public.  Otherwise, It could be a problem where the user does not have the right permissions in Salesforce to view those leads or the SF report is filtering on a view that the user can not see.

2nd: Let’s confirm that the 6sense user has the same access permissions as the person who ran the report in Salesforce.

3rd: Let’s confirm the permissions in Salesforce on the report : Does the Report have a Role Hierarchy?

In Salesforce go to Setup -> Security Controls -> Sharing Settings and check the OWD (Organization Wide Default) for the object that the report is created for. If it’s Private, then the user can only see records that he/she owns or the records for owners below him/her in the role hierarchy.

You will either have to open up access via Sharing Rules or change OWD to Public Read Only or give View All permission to this user for this particular object on their profile or via a Permission set.

If it’s not Private, check if the user has Read access to this object.
