6sense provides multiple sandbox offerings to help customers test features, validate integrations, and ensure smooth onboarding without affecting their production data. These sandboxes provide a controlled setting to experiment with functionality while maintaining data integrity.

6sense provides three distinct sandbox options:

  • In-Platform Sandbox Exports: Allows predictive score exports to Salesforce CRM Sandboxes.

  • 6sense Sandbox: A full-featured separate 6sense instance for testing and validation.

  • 6sense Limited Sandbox: A short-term 6sense instance for capability validation during onboarding.

6sense in-platform sandbox support

Supported

6sense currently supports score exports (predictive scores based on production data) to Salesforce CRM sandbox environments. This functionality is available only to Advanced customers with Salesforce CRM sandboxes.

You can use 6sense score exports in your CRM sandbox to:

  • Validate that scores populate correctly in your CRM.

  • Test the impact of 6sense Enrichment in conjunction with CRM automation.

  • Demonstrate 6sense values within your CRM for internal stakeholders.

Not supported

6sense does not support:

  • Data imports into the platform.

  • MAP or other non-CRM sandbox integrations.

Connecting a CRM sandbox instance in 6sense

Before you start

  1. Connect your production Salesforce instance to 6sense using production credentials.

  2. Work with 6sense representatives to finalize data mastering.

  3. Ensure your predictive model is live and based on production CRM data.

  4. Ensure the 6sense integration user has write access to necessary CRM fields.

  5. The sync process consumes API limits, so set appropriate thresholds.

  6. The initial sync includes all scored records, while subsequent syncs update changed scores only.

Connect your CRM sandbox

  1. Navigate to Settings > Integrations.

  2. Locate the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Sandbox card.  

  3. Enter your Salesforce CRM Sandbox credentials and configure API limits.

  4. Set up the mapping profile and export orchestration for score synchronization.

6sense sandbox

The 6sense sandbox is a separate instance that mirrors a production environment while providing a safe space to test features and workflows. It includes a unique URL, user management system, and isolated data.

Use cases

  • Experiment with new features before production deployment.

  • Test integration workflows and validate data syncs.

  • Verify export capabilities within a controlled setting.

Key provisions

  • Duration: Available for the duration of the contract.

  • Availability: One 6sense sandbox SKU may be purchased per contract term.

  • Eligibility: Available for ABM and/or SI Team+ customers.

  • Professional Services: Requires purchase of Professional Service hours package.

  • Setup and Decommissioning: Managed through 6sense Product Consultants.

  • Predictive Models: Available in the 6sense sandbox with a Statement of Work (SOW) for Professional Services hours.

Set up the 6sense sandbox

Provisions

  • Request a 6sense sandbox from your Solutions Consultant or Customer Success Manager.

  • Once the sandbox contract is signed, 6sense will provision a 6sense sandbox and provide the URL.

  • Log in and set up users with the User Management process and Set Up Single Sign-on  if applicable.

  • Enter your CRM sandbox credentials, set your API limits and check the status of your syncs.

Web tag

  • Ensure the 6sense web tag has been placed on your website.

  • If you’ve placed the 6sense web tag on your website, it will also work for the 6sense sandbox.

  • If the web tag has not yet been installed, please contact your 6sense representative for installation support.

Set up predictive models

The 6sense sandbox may use predictive models based on relevant data and integrations, and will take some time to establish. You can expect around 4-8 weeks of setup time, depending on the complexity of the data, the presence of previous predictive models, and the speed at which meetings can be held. 

  • Once credentials are entered, 6sense Product Consultants will work with you to taxonomize your data so that the 6sense pipeline understands how you use your CRM.

  • 6sense data scientists will then build and promote your predictive models to the 6sense sandbox.

6sense limited sandbox

The 6sense limited sandbox is a short-term version of the 6sense sandbox designed to facilitate testing and capability validation for customers. This sandbox provides a controlled environment to validate syncs and exports during the onboarding and adoption process without impacting the production environment. The limited sandbox helps streamline customer onboarding, improve time to value, and manage requests efficiently.

Use cases

  • Experiment with new features: Safely test and explore new 6sense features before deploying them in production.

  • Validate syncs and exports: Ensure integration workflows and data exports function correctly.

  • Testing environment: Conduct tests without affecting your production data and operations.

Key provisions

  • Duration: Available for 3 months.

  • Availability: One limited sandbox SKU per contract term.

  • Extension: Customers requiring a sandbox beyond 3 months should consider purchasing the 6sense sandbox.

  • Eligibility: Available for ABM and/or SI Team+ customers.

  • Professional Services: Requires purchase of Professional Service hours package.

  • Setup and decommissioning: Managed through 6sense Product Consultants.

  • Predictive models: Not available in the limited sandbox.

Use the limited sandbox

  • Validate data syncs and API calls: Enter CRM credentials to validate how 6sense syncs data between systems.

  • Testing orchestrations & enrichment:  

    • Write 6sense data to CRM sandbox.

    • Simulate contact or account enrichments.

    • Ensure records are properly created in source systems.

Entitlements

Customers leveraging the limited sandbox are restricted to the following entitlements:

  • Enrichment credits: 1,000 credits

  • Company identification API calls: 50,000 API calls

  • Real-time lead scoring API calls: 5,000 API calls
